THE PORTAL IS A SOUND-LED PROJECT BY YASEMIN VOLLMOND AND KIMI RECOR. THE PORTAL MOVES FROM TENSION TO RELEASE, FROM HARMONY TO DISSONANCE, FROM EARTH TO THE AKASHA AND VICE VERSA. A 90-MINUTE PIECE INTUITIVELY PLAYED LIVE BY KIMI AND YASEMIN, DRAWING FROM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MUSIC AND TUNING COMPLETELY INTO EACH OTHER. LAY OR SIT IN THE RESONANCE OF MULTIPLE GONGS, CHIMES, ANALOG DRONES, VOCAL LOOPS AND LAYERED SYNTHESIZERS, BUILT INTO A DEEP LISTENING EXPERIENCE.

Kimi Recor and Yasemin Vollmond are friends and collaborators whose shared love for breath and frequency gave birth to The Portal. Together they create spaces that merge science, sound and spirit, inviting depth, presence and real connection beyond the fast-paced studio model.
